The Opening Ceremony and Academic Forum of the New University: The Future of the European Union – Challenges will take place on 1st of October at 6 PM. The event will be held at Ivan Hribar’s Hall at the New University in Ljubljana. The event will run in two parts. The opening ceremony to mark the beginning of the new academic year and the appointment of the new Rector of the New University will be followed by a round table discussion within the Academic Forum.
The chair, dr. Matej Avbelj, will be joined by three distinguished speakers:
- H.E. Sophie Honey, British Ambassador to Slovenia,
- prof. dr. Peter Jambrek, Rector of the New University,
- mag. Igor Mally, State Secretary and Head of the Slovenian EU Presidency 2021 .
