The first Academic forum was intended for a discussion of the most imminent challenges of the future of the EU, which, inter alia, include Brexit, new political directions of the European Commission, Slovenian take on them and the background (academic) idea of a new constitutional process for the European integration.
The chair, dr. Matej Avbelj, was joined by three distinguished speakers:
- H.E. Sophie Honey, British Ambassador to Slovenia
- prof. dr. Peter Jambrek, Rector of the New University
- mag. Igor Mally, State Secretary and Head of the Slovenian EU Presidency 2021
Academic forum was conducted within a framework of the research project “The Integral Theory of the Future of the European Union”, supported by the Slovenian Research Agency . It took place on Tuesday, 1 October 2019 in the Hall of Ivan Hribar, at the New University in Ljubljana.
